Discoveries: Spring for Neptune
They think it began 39 years ago. It is contained of hydrogen, helium, and methane.They say each season on Neptune lasts about 41 years. The gas on Neptune has methane in it which becomes methane ice. It started in 2005 when summer was about to start.
An Earth-Changing Earthquake
There was a big tsunami around December 26, 2004. The tsunami was caused by a earthquake which shifted he coastlines and elevations. An earthquake can change Earth's rotation. The earthqueke caused the change in Earth's rotation, because it was at a 9.0, and that it made a shorten in a day. After the earthquake islands were moved several feet from where they were before.

Big Bang or Big Bounce
Albert Einstein theory helped people decided that there are other ways to talk about atoms. It took them years to discover about atomic matter. It happened in 1905 when they analyzing Einstein theory. The discovery was made 1955 it took 20 years and then another 30 until 1955 they found the theory. It took a lot of physicists to find the theory and hey are still looking for more answers. They still have not found the conclusion and they are still working on it but they think there was something before the Big Bang called the Big Bounce and another called Big Bunch.

2. How does the magnitude scale work?
1. The first reason is the North Star is the not brightness and it’s been around since around 2550 BC or sooner and the other reason is that it is getting less light than the other stars because it is so far away. The North Star is the not that good in looking for, because sometimes u can see it and other times u can’t see it.
2. The magnitude scale works by multiplying 2.5 by the number of magnitude like magnitude 5 would be 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.5 which would equal how bright or dim it is or u can use it to find which star is brighter than the others.

Nova blog post
The most interesting thing about this video is about building ground zero. It is interesting because they are trying to have them remember if people died. They can remember that the monument signifies who died in 9/11. It make a difference is life so people can remember their friends or family who died in 9/11. You can learn more about it in this video i picked http://video.pbs.org/video/2119539367. We can learn about the people who risk there lives to get other people out and try to save them. We can also learn about that what people died and what they donated to the museum. There is a site that explains what happened to Ground Zero or also called the World Trade Center in New York City in lower Manhattan. The younger kids wouldn't know what was going on or what happened to this place. The older people would be sad and crying to what happened to the people if there were family or friends. We could share our knowledge with the World by helping them build it back together or give to the museum. They could have mentioned how many people are working or are family members are working or friends that are working.

I think the most useful rule in science is don’t eat or drink stuff off the table or don’t do experiment without the teacher in the room. If we didn’t follow these rules we would be in the hospital or we would be dead or blow up. These rules are important u never know if something may be poisonous on the table if u eat it or some chemicals may be bad if u mix them together. The most useless rule I think is when people think something is off and go and touch it and burn them. This may happen when the teacher is not in the room and they see that it is off and they think it won’t burn them the person goes and touches it and gets burnt. Then usually the person doesn’t go tell the teacher or they go and tell some friend what they did and later the teacher finds out what the person did. Then usually the person either gets a detention for doing that and not telling the teacher or they don’t get in trouble but they probably will get in trouble. That’s why I think this is the useless rule in science but the most useful rule is no eating or drinking or doing experiment without a teacher.

my favorite
My favorite chapter in science is the solar system. I like space because it is a lot of fun. Mercury is the smallest planet in space. Mercury is the closest planet to the sun. The next planet in the solar system is Venus. Venus is the second planet from the sun. Venus is made of carbon dioxide and nitrogen. The next planet in our solar system is Earth. Earth is also called the blue planet and is third from the sun. Earth has life, plants, and water. Mars is our next planet and is the fourth from the sun. Mars is sometimes called the red planet. Mars has 2 moons. The next planets called the outer planets or gas planets. The first gas planet is Jupiter. Jupiter is the fifth from the sun and has a great big red spot on it. The next gas planet is Saturn or the sixth planet from the sun. Saturn has rings around the planet and is made up of water ice and something else. The next planet is Uranus or the seventh planet from the sun. Uranus has rings that sometimes appear around the planet. The last planet is Neptune or the eighth planet from the sun. Neptune is the last of the gas planets or outer planets. Neptune contains ice and water and much more in the planet.
